Takamatsu Airport will host the ‘FUNTAK Runway Walk 2024’ on August 4.
This event allows participants to actually walk on the runway, taxiway, and apron. Additionally, participants can take photos of aircraft in the parking area and attend aircraft briefings by maintenance engineers. As a special plan for the 35th anniversary of the airport’s opening, a group photo session with participants forming letters is planned. Souvenirs will be given to participants.
The event will be held from 3:00 AM to 5:40 AM on August 4. It is open to a maximum of 120 participants, targeted towards individuals in the 3rd grade of elementary school and above. The participation fee is 11,000 yen (tax included). Applications can be made on the special page on the official website, from 10:00 AM on June 21 until 5:00 PM on July 7. In the case of too many applicants, participants will be selected by lottery, with winners to be announced on July 10.
