It has been announced that Malaysia Airlines is planning to increase its Tokyo/Narita to Kuala Lumpur route to double daily flights starting February 3, 2025.
The news was reported by AeroRoute on July 24, stating the current operation of 12 round trips per week will be expanded to 14 round trips per week, comprising two flights per day. The flights will utilize either an Airbus A350-900, equipped with 4 Business Suites, 35 Business Class seats, and 247 Economy Class seats, totaling 286 seats, or an Airbus A330-300 with 27 Business Class seats and 263 Economy Class seats, making up 290 seats in total.
Both types of flights will be codeshare flights operated jointly with Japan Airlines (JAL), which also operates an additional daily round trip on this route independently. Additionally, All Nippon Airways (ANA) and Batik Air Malaysia also operate flights on the same route.
