Fuji Dream Airlines (FDA) has announced the donation of aircraft parts from its No. 4 plane (an Embraer 170, registration number: JA04FJ) to Nagano Prefecture. The announcement was made at the “30th Anniversary Ceremony of Jet Introduction at Shinshu Matsumoto Airport” held on July 26.
The No. 4 plane features a green livery inspired by the mountains of Shinshu and was introduced in October 2010. Due to its high affinity with Shinshu Matsumoto Airport, it was appointed as a tourism ambassador for the city of Matsumoto, Nagano Prefecture, in July 2011. It promoted Matsumoto City at all its destinations nationwide until October 2016, when it was succeeded by the 11th plane, also in the same green color. The plane was retired on March 9.
The donated parts include the nose and winglets, which will be used for display purposes in Nagano Prefecture.
