
LOT Polish Airlines to Launch Warsaw–Bologna Route on March 31, 2026
The Australian International Air Services Commission (IASC) has approved Qantas Airways’ application for additional slots at Haneda Airport.
Currently, two slots have been allocated, and the airline operates two round trips a day between Tokyo/Haneda and Sydney. After the allocation of additional slots, it is planned to operate one round trip each for the Tokyo/Haneda to Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane routes. The aircraft to be used is the Airbus A330 equipped with 28 Business class and 269 Economy class seats, totaling 297 seats. A Tokyo/Narita to Sydney route will also be introduced.
The slot allocation is for five years starting from February 25, 2025. Operations of one round trip a day for the three routes are scheduled to begin on March 30, 2025, and full utilization of the slots is expected by April 30, 2025.
After the IASC’s announcement of the slot allocation, Qantas Airways was the only applicant for the allocation.
