Sushiro Establishes Local Subsidiary Ahead of Expansion into Malaysia
‘Ginza Onodera’ Conveyor Belt Sushi Opens in Houston, its First Foray onto the US Mainland
ONODERA Food Service is set to grand open ‘Ginza Onodera’ conveyor belt sushi in Houston, America, on November 16th.
‘Ginza Onodera’ operates in three countries with a total of 20 stores. This marks its first venture into the conveyor belt sushi format in the US mainland, following its overseas expansion in Hawaii, making it the second overseas store.
There has been a recent surge in Japanese corporations setting up shop in Houston, which has, in turn, heightened interest in Japanese cuisine.
Similar to the Hawaii store, it will offer tuna directly shipped from the Toyosu Market through ‘Yamayuki,’ a wholesaler at the Toyosu market. The restaurant also plans to offer a limited menu exclusive to the location.
The restaurant is located within the mixed-use complex ‘WEST ON WEST.’ It features 83 seats, including counter seats, tables, and private rooms, along with a waiting bar. Operating hours are from 11 AM to 10 PM.
