Turkish Airlines Moves to New Terminal 1 at New York/JFK and Opens a New Lounge
Turkish Airlines is set to service the new Terminal 1 at John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York.
The airline will relocate from the existing Terminal 1, and plans to open a new lounge approximately 11,000 square feet in size, double the size of the existing lounge, with direct boarding access.
The new Terminal 1 is under construction on the site of the current Terminal 1, the closed Terminal 2, and the site of the former Terminal 3, on the airport’s south side. The construction will progress in phases, with the first phase, including the first 14 gates, opening in 2026. The goal is a completion by 2030, eventually becoming the airport’s largest terminal with 2.6 million square feet of space and 23 gates.
Several airlines have already announced their intention to operate from the new terminal, including EVA Air, Air Serbia, Air China, Philippine Airlines, Air France, Etihad Airways, LOT Polish Airlines, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, Korean Air, and Scandinavian Airlines.
