Banyan Tree Higashiyama Kyoto is offering a Christmas Afternoon Tea from December 1st to 25th.
The sweets include Japanese-inspired treats such as Strawberry Santa, frothy yukan jelly, white bean paste with citrus monaka, and matcha brownies. The savory menu features roast beef, beet crepes, and bell bean tofu with yuzu miso. For the tea selection, leaves from all over Japan, including Kyoto, as well as Chinese and Taiwanese teas, are sourced by “7T+” in Kawaramachi, Kyoto. These teas are divided into seven color groups based on type and processing method. Additionally, tea from “ART OF TEA” made through organic farming, and coffee from Kyoto’s “Ogawa Coffee” are available.
The venue is the kappo cuisine “Ryōzen”. The service is available from noon to 5 PM, with the last order at 4 PM. The price is 8,000 yen, including tax and service charge.
