IHG Opens Three ‘Garner’ Hotels in Osaka Simultaneously
IHG Hotels & Resorts has simultaneously opened three mid-scale ‘Garner’ brand hotels on January 16th.
The newly opened hotels include ‘Garner Hotel Osaka Honmachi Station,’ ‘Garner Hotel Osaka Honmachi Midosuji,’ and ‘Garner Hotel Osaka Honmachi Kitashinchi,’ all of which were rebranded former Hotel WBF properties acquired by Ax Management Partners. This marks the brand’s debut in Japan.
Garner is a casual mid-scale conversion brand with the brand promise of being ‘an easy base for every journey.’ It features ‘casual relaxation on your own terms,’ with 24-hour access to drinks and snacks under the concept of ‘enjoy what you like at your own pace,’ and values the “individuality” of guests, staff, and the hotel itself with ‘fully embracing uniqueness.’
The design concept is themed ‘Timeless Osaka,’ expressing the vibrancy of Osaka through designs that feature past, present, and future eras, with eye-catching art collections and digital signage providing new discoveries and inspirations with each visit.
Guests can enjoy unique experiences such as a casual lounge ‘Social Hub’ in the public space, a 24/7 marketplace, and welcome drinks and snacks that incorporate the essence of Osaka.
All hotels are located in the Honmachi area of Osaka, close to tourist destinations such as Dotonbori, Shinsaibashi, and Namba, and also offer good access to Umeda, making them suitable for business and leisure use.
To celebrate the opening, an Instagram campaign offering a chance to win a free stay for two is also being held.
