Ascott to Open Oakwood Oimachi Tracks Tokyo on June 25
Shangri-La Tokyo will host the “Chocolate Garden Afternoon Tea” from May 1 to June 30.
The afternoon tea combines chocolates from chocolatier Pierre Marcolini with seasonal fruits such as mango, amanatsu (Japanese summer orange), and cherries. The sweets include five varieties such as a “Dark Chocolate Banana Tart” topped with a red heart-shaped Coeur Framboise, “Milk Chocolate Pudding Mango and Matcha Pavlova” paired with mango and passion fruit sauce, and “Pistachio and Rose Éclair.” The savory selection also consists of five items, including “Chilled Raspberry and Chocolate Soup,” “Matcha-Flavored Quiche and Cream Cheese with Chocolate Tuile,” and “Cardamom-Scented Pumpkin Mousse and Chocolate.” Three types of scones will be served, including a chocolate pretzel scone, and guests can choose one condiment from six options, such as chocolate curd made with Pierre Marcolini chocolate and clotted cream. French toast scented with Himalayan blend tea will also be available.
The venue is The Lobby Lounge. Service hours are from noon to 5:30 p.m. on weekdays, and from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays. The price is JPY 8,580, tax included, service charge not included.
