JAL apologizes after contractor’s security screener arrested for cash theft at Tokyo’s Haneda Airport
Japan Airlines (JAL) will reopen the “JAL SKY MUSEUM” after renovations on November 1.
This is the first renovation in four years. The entrance facilities will be revamped to enable smooth admission even at busy times. Around 100 free lockers will be newly installed. In addition to displaying the 5th-generation cabin attendant handbag, hat, shoes, and giveaways, the “FutureZone” will also screen videos of flying cars. The factory tour course will be extended by 20 minutes to 130 minutes. Tour slots will be expanded by two, starting at 1:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m.
Limited-edition merchandise will also be added: a new red color for towel handkerchiefs made with paper yarn derived from paper cups collected on board aircraft, and a special Goshoin seal edition featuring gold leaf.
The JAL SKY MUSEUM in Japan opened in 2013. It is a museum where visitors can get up close to aviation jobs and aircraft, attracting over 100,000 visitors annually. It preserves and exhibits various materials from the JAL Group’s early days to the present.
After the renovation, an admission fee will be introduced: 1,000 yen for adults; free for children 12 and under. Children below elementary school age are not permitted to enter. For courses other than the factory tour, admission is included.
