Turkish Airlines Launches Flights from Osaka/Kansai to Istanbul with Four Round-Trips Weekly
Finnair Resumes Operation of Nagoya/Central Japan to Helsinki Route, Plans to Increase to 3 Round Trips by Next Summer
Finnair has resumed operations of its Nagoya/Central Japan to Helsinki route from May 30, after about four years.
The flights operate twice weekly, with departures from Nagoya/Central Japan on Mondays and Fridays and from Helsinki on Thursdays and Sundays. It is planned to increase to three round trips per week in the next summer schedule. The flights are operated using the Airbus A350-900 aircraft.
A commemoration ceremony was held at the Chubu Centrair International Airport Event Plaza on May 31, attended by Henna Knuuttila, the Finnish Ambassador to Japan, Aichi Prefecture’s Vice Governor Zenhiro Hayashi, the Mayor of Nagoya Takashi Kawamura, and Moomin, celebrating the inauguration. Passengers on the first flight were presented with Moomin keychains.

As a result, during the summer schedule period, Finnair will operate a total of 20 round trips per week on four routes to Japan: one daily round trip between Helsinki and Tokyo/Haneda, six round trips per week between Helsinki and Tokyo/Narita, five round trips per week between Helsinki and Osaka/Kansai, and two round trips per week between Helsinki and Nagoya/Central Japan.
