Meidi-Ya Opens Japanese Alcohol Specialty Store in Takashimaya, Singapore
Meidi-Ya Singapore, a subsidiary of Meidi-Ya Co., Ltd. in Japan, opened ‘MEIDI-YA SAKE & SPIRITS’ on the basement second floor of Takashimaya Shopping Centre in Singapore on November 22.
The store specializes in the sale of Japanese-produced alcoholic beverages such as sake, shochu, and wine, marking the first endeavor of its kind for Meidi-Ya Singapore. The store will regularly update its offerings and hold tasting and sales events. The retail space covers an area of 9.44 tsubo (approximately 31 square meters). Operating hours are from 10 AM to 9:30 PM.
Meidi-Ya has been involved in the supermarket business in Singapore since 2003. The company operates two comprehensive supermarket stores, ‘Meidi-Ya Store’, at Great World City and Millenia Walk.
