Six Senses Kyoto Grand Opening on April 23, Marking the Brand’s First Foray into Japan
The Wealth Management Group, in joint investment and development with its World Brands Collection Hotels & Resorts, will operate the ‘Six Senses Kyoto’, which is set to grand open on April 23.
Six Senses marks the InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG)’s premier luxury hotel brand’s first entry into Japan, emphasizing well-being and sustainability as its core values, and is expanding as a natural luxury resort around the world.
The facility is a four-story building above ground with two basement floors; the interior design combines Japanese tradition and decoration in a contemporary fashion. All rooms are over 42 square meters, featuring 16 different types including 81 rooms such as the ‘Courtyard King’. The top-grade suite on the top floor, the ‘3-Bedroom Penthouse Suite’, accommodates up to six people within its 303 square meters (including a 65 square meter outdoor terrace).
Access is approximately one minute on foot from Higashiyama Shichijo stop of the Kyoto City Bus, about ten minutes on foot from Shichijo Station on the Keihan Main Line, and about seven minutes by car from Kyoto Station.
