Hotel Mount Fuji to Join IHG’s Vignette Collection
Dusit International rebranded and opened WE Hotel Toya as “WE Hotel Toya – Dusit Collection” on July 1.
The property has six above-ground floors and one basement level. It offers a total of 58 guestrooms: 31 Deluxe Lake View King rooms, 17 Lake View Twin rooms, 7 Lake View Triple rooms, and 3 villas. All lake-view guestrooms feature balconies with open-air hinoki cypress baths. The hotel retains the existing architectural design, including a wooden façade and three-dimensional fabrics inspired by the natural surroundings of Lake Toya and designed by architect Kengo Kuma. Facilities include a large public bath with panoramic views of Lake Toya, a restaurant, bar, lobby lounge, game room, gift shop, and parking.
At the restaurant “EZO Cuisine,” guests can enjoy Japanese cuisine incorporating French techniques. Breakfast is served as a set menu using local vegetables, Hokkaido-grown rice, freshwater fish, dairy products, and other ingredients, along with morning herbal tea and seasonal juices. Dinner primarily features daily changing course menus, with a Thai cuisine course also planned for a limited time. “La Saison” serves ramen made with ingredients from Hokkaido, as well as tom yum noodles and khao soi, while “TARU Bar” offers organic Japanese tea produced on the hotel’s own farm, along with sake, whisky, and craft liqueurs. To celebrate the opening, a stay plan including dinner and breakfast is available at 20% off regular rates from July 1 through September 30.
Access: approximately 30 minutes by complimentary shuttle bus from Toya Station.
