ANA Holdings to Strengthen Shareholder Returns with New Dividend and Benefits Program
Japan Airlines (JAL) has added two new products to its upcycled aircraft parts line, the “JAL Collection Items.”
The “Boeing 737 Aircraft Pin Badge” is handmade by maintenance engineers using offcuts of titanium alloy that are used to reinforce and repair titanium parts around aircraft engines. The degree of discoloration varies depending on the time and intensity of heating, and the color tone changes depending on how the light hits it. The size is 50 millimeters wide × 150 millimeters long, with a pin length of 150 millimeters. The required mileage is 8,000 miles. It is available through “JAL Totteoki no Ippin” (JAL Carefully Selected Items).
The “CFRP Multi Tray” is a tray made by recycling carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP) that was used in the tail fin of a Boeing 777-200 aircraft (registration: JA772J) retired in 2022. Only the plastic component is removed from the CFRP, leaving just the carbon fibers, which are then recovered and molded by mixing the carbon fiber with a plant-derived polyamide resin. The previous batch sold out on the same day and has now been restocked. The size is 22.5 centimeters wide × 9 centimeters deep × 1 centimeter high. The price is 5,500 yen (tax included), or 4,000 miles if redeemed with miles. It is available through “JAL Shopping” and “JAL Totteoki no Ippin” (JAL Carefully Selected Items).
