Greens reopened the Comfort Hotel ERA Kyoto Horikawa Gojo under its new brand on June 22.
The former Comfort Hotel Kyoto Horikawa Gojo has been rebranded as a Comfort Hotel ERA property. The hotel features the Comfort Library Cafe, offering free Wi-Fi, power outlets, and 300 travel-related books. It displays a 5-meter-wide metal textile artwork created by a Kyoto Yuzen artisan, while sofa seating has been renovated into booth seating.
During “Sweets Time,” from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., the hotel serves langue de chat cookies made with matcha from Kitagawa Hanbee Shoten. During “Cocktail Time,” from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m., guests can enjoy sake from breweries in Fushimi, Tamba wine, beer, and non-alcoholic carbonated drinks made with matcha. Guests can also take part in a paid omamori lucky charm-making experience, while original-packaged drip coffee created in collaboration with Kyoto confectioner Kanaya Masahiro is available for purchase.
The breakfast buffet is served from 6:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. and offers more than 40 menu items. In addition to freshly made pancakes, selections include gratin with Kyoto-grown Kujo green onions and tofu, as well as focaccia made with wheat grown in Kyoto. The price is 1,800 yen for adults and 950 yen for elementary school children, tax included. Preschool children eat free.
