Sumitomo Realty & Development Villa Fontaine opened Village Atami on August 1.
The nine-story building has 82 guest rooms across eight room types, all with balconies: 35 Superior Twin rooms, 14 Superior Triple rooms, 1 Universal Twin room, 24 Japanese-Western rooms, 4 Deluxe Fourth rooms, 2 Junior Suites, and 2 Premier Suites—1 Japanese Modern and 1 Luxury. The 33-square-meter Superior Twin rooms have two beds, and the sofa can be used as an extra bed for stays of three guests. The Premier Suites feature large, dynamic panoramic windows extending from the floor to near the ceiling.
The property features a footbath using natural hot spring water and a fire pit in the first-floor courtyard. The top floor includes an open-air natural hot spring bath, a sauna with windows, and a restaurant overlooking the sea. The restaurant serves a casual French buffet using ingredients from Atami. At the guest-only rooftop terrace, “Terrace 30.9,” complimentary drinks are offered during limited hours. During the Atami Maritime Fireworks Festival, guests can enjoy the fireworks from the balconies of select rooms. Limited plans allowing guests to view the fireworks from “Terrace 30.9” or the restaurant will also be available.
